Brilliant term you need to copyright: barstool nutribabble. Love that! Some questions for a future article: In attempting to get more Omega-3 (for psoriasis) I have amassed what appears to be a lifetime supply of Chia seeds. Would they be worth anything nutritionally if sprouted? What about flaxseed? Thanks for this insightful post.

Thanks, Jim! Sorry to hear about your lifetime supply of chia. Not much you can do with that, but yes, if you sprouted them it would release some of the nutrients, making them more bioavailable. Same goes for other seeds. If it's omega-3 fats you're after, you'd be better off with oily fish and/or fish oil.

Psoriasis, you will be aware, is a bit of a mystery. But we do know that it is an inflammatory disorder (which is why anti-inflammatory omega 3 oils are helpful).
