In the 1970's the anti-fat messaging was pervasive and effective. The campaign against animal fats eroded the health of the public world wide. I never bought into their arguments and avoided unreal foods. My siblings went all in on low-fat, including margarines and the like, which they still use today. I did try to warn them, until I just gave up. That was decades ago.
The difference between me and them today is shocking. They are poly-pharmacy dependent obese people with multiple metabolic health issues ranging from bloody awful to life threatening. I am slim and healthy by about every measure and don't need or take pharmaceuticals. They still don't get it though.
Programming is powerfully effective because humans are endlessly gullible is all I can say.
Here in the US there are few dairy farms using grass-fed cattle. Fortunately we can get real butter, from pastured animals, imported from Ireland and New Zealand. I've known the benefits for a while now, but this article highlighted some I was unaware of. Thanks for that!
Many of the ranchers here in Texas have switched to pastured cattle, so grass-fed beef is readily available. Apparently the economy of raising dairy cattle that way is not yet feasible. Good news for the folks making Kerry Gold butter in Ireland.

Draw your own conclusions.
I can tell a similar story. Even leading by example has little impact on most people and I’ve long stopped offering unsolicited advice.

Good article!
Terrific article as usual.

I'm quite shocked that you have to buy imported butter! But well worth it. I guess free-range meat must be hard to come by too.
